Courthouse Park - 1st Annual Christmas Tree Lighting - 2024

Located in the center of Taylorsville at 101 West Main Avenue you'll enjoy the beautiful Alexander County Courthouse Park. The paved walking path takes you by the “Charters of Freedom” exhibit, the children's play area, splash pad, picnic shelter and the Rotary Entertainment Stage. In one corner of the park, a historic gas station features murals depicting a train station and on the opposite corner of the park as you follow the walking path, you'll see a mural depicting Alexander County scenery and County Seal.


The Grand Opening was held May 15, 2022. Courthouse Park is one of many parks within Alexander County Parks and Recreation Department and is located in Downtown Taylorsville in the block just behind the Alexander County Courthouse.

The Courthouse Park is managed by Alexander County. • Reserve the Park for your event by contacting 828-352-7757 • Complete and submit a Special Event Permit Application for approval by the Alexander County Event Review Committee.

The Rotary Performance Stage is the center of activities for many special performances throughout the year. The Taylorsville Rotary Club raised $68,000 to help with the stage.
