Taylorsville is a family-oriented community that offers something for everyone. We welcome you!

From the Mountains to the Lake, the geographic variety in our county offers residents and visitors a wealth of recreational opportunities. Enjoy a Sunday afternoon drive across the Brushy Mountains, hike Rocky Face Mountain or spend the day boating on Lake Hickory.

~from the Mountains

Some of the prettiest views to be found are just a short drive out of the Town of Taylorsville. The lovely rolling hills of the Brushy Mountains are lined with apple trees, providing a mouth watering harvest in the Fall. Our countryside is a patchwork of farms, fields and gardens with homes dotted throughout.

~to the Lake

Just a few miles from Downtown Taylorsville you'll find beautiful Lake Hickory...a 4,200-acre reservoir in North Carolina that's popular for boating, fishing, and swimming. It's located on the Catawba River, north of Hickory and borders the Bethlehem Community of Alexander County. Enjoy Riverbend Park, marinas, fishing, boating and more!
